Is ScoreCloud safe?

At ScoreCloud, your security is our top priority. We understand the importance of protecting your personal information, and ensuring that your intellectual property is protected.

We want to ensure a safe experience while you create, save and (optionally) share your music.

Your personal data is secure

When registering a ScoreCloud account, you provide information such as email and name. This is needed for ScoreCloud to function, so that you can log in from multiple devices, save songs, handle upgrades, etc.

Transmitting and storing your information, we follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that has strong privacy rules that safeguards your personal data. You can feel safe that modern encryption algorithms and secure network protocols are in place to stop your data from falling into the wrong hands.

We do not transmit any personal identifiable data from ScoreCloud to any 3rd party.

You can read more about this in our Privacy Policy.

Your music is safe

One advantage of ScoreCloud is its portability, the ability to sync your songs between the ScoreCloud programs and accessing them from your browser. This feature requires songs to be saved on your ScoreCloud account in the cloud.

From the ScoreCloud desktop programs, ScoreCloud Studio & ScoreCloud Songwriter, you can however choose to save your songs as local files.

If you choose to save your songs in the cloud, our cloud integration ensures that your work is always backed up and accessible across multiple devices. This means you can start a project on one device and finish it on another without missing a beat.

Every song you save in the cloud is stored securely using modern security protocols to safeguard your work from any unauthorized access. We prioritize your privacy and ensure your intellectual property is protected.

Our terms do not grant us any rights to your material or intellectual property except for what is needed to run and improve the ScoreCloud services. Here is the section about this in our Terms of Use:

8.2. User owns or/and is responsible for all Material uploaded by the User, All intellectual property rights to such Material belong to the User or the licensor which the User has licensed the Material from. Material might, however, be processed in Doremir’s market analysis, business development and for statistics purposes only. Details will not be shared with third parties.

An added benefit of saving your songs in the cloud is that we keep a digital record of when a song was first saved. This timestamp can help you prove that you wrote a song first.

We hope that this makes you feel safe using ScoreCloud!
